ELECTIONS HURRY AND GET OVER WITH!

I don't know about you, but I'll be glad when this election cycle is over. Enough bad blood, name calling and dirty politics to last 10 years, let alone we start the presidental season in 2 months.

On to homes. We do have one closing in two weeks and have another major buy in Lauderdale the first week of December. That should bring our total sales this year to just over 14 million. Not bad for an off year. Our smallest sale was on Marco over at Anglers' Cove. A great buy for my Client at 182K for a one bedroom, 2 bath cabana unit with another room downstairs and covered parking. Our next closing is for over 700k and features a wonderful, I mean a wonderful home at over 3100sf, less than 9 years old. Sewer assessment is paid and the dock is to die for. Till next time, Bob

Naples real estate, a buy or not? ShoeBox Realty

Are we there yet??? The bottom!

That's the question I get most every time from concerned clients. My answer; I haven't a clue. What I do know is that the so called real estate gurus don't have a clue. Back 2 years ago, when I suggested not to invest in real estate, some people went to other agents and bought anyway. So now I just say, I haven't a clue.

Marco Island ShoeBox Realty and great fishing

I can't believe it. We took out the "ShoeBox" and had a great day fishing. 12 total snook, 4 in the slot, 3 larger. We let them all go after a few pictures. Later, we went for reds and caught 2. One was 26". Bobby, Al and Skeeter voted to go out 15 miles, I was out voted, I was tired. But I'm glad we did. 2 keeper red groupers, big keepers. Now for a great dinner. Bob

Home sales and great fishing. September 12 ShoeBox Marco Island

Hi everyone, today is another rainy day. Our real estate market is definitely up as I had more closings this month than I've had in 2 years. My team has come up with some great deals for our clients. On the fishing side, red grouper are out there, 10-12 miles out. I have been using gulp on a jig. About 12-15 undersize for one keeper. But it is worth it. Have a wonderful day! Bob

18 +/- acre farm for sale. Lake Zurich on Rt. 22.

Here is the deal of the day. We have approx 18 acres for sale at Rt. 22 and Telser Rd., Lake Zurich, Il. It's east of town and about 3 blocks west of Kemper Lakes Golf Club in Kildeer. A new reef for Key West

Getting to Key West for this event was a breeze. 3 hours by boat and we were sitting front row, about 6 miles out. The highest portion of the vessel showed 39' on my guage. Amazing pictures. FYI, there is a sunken submarine in the area. In less than a year, this should be a full blown reef. Right now barracuda are cruising the perimeter. Figures! In what was an event of a lifetime, the USS Gen. Hoyt S. Vandenberg has been sunk off Key West to become one of the world's largest artificial shipwreck reefs.
The sinking occured May 27, 2009 seven miles south of Key West in approximately 140 feet of water. Hundreds of other boats gathered to see the historic vessel sink.
Here are a few specs on this massive ship:

  • Length: 520 feet
  • Beam (width): 71.5 feet
  • Weight: 13,000 tons
  • Sea speed: 17 knots

Marco ShoeBox Realty - Hotsheet and new lot listing

ShoeBox Realty listed another property at 860 Partridge Ct. This lot is about 4 houses from the pass, looks south onto Caxabas island and is one of the quickest outs to the gulf on the island.
Beautiful location and this lot has 107' on the water, with a new sea wall. It's located on the Partridge canal which is a wide waterway, plenty of boat traffic. At $740K, this should go fast.
